Dawn S. Johnson is a dedicated professional with extensive experience in workforce development, student engagement, and community building. A proud Philadelphia native, she was educated in the public school system and is a graduate of the Philadelphia High School for Creative and Performing Arts. Her gifts in music earned her a place at the prestigious Berklee College of Music, and she continued her education at Boston University, focusing on Conflict Resolution.

In her role with Big Picture Philadelphia, Dawn is committed to fostering student success, growth, and retention while strengthening enrollment practices across both campuses. She actively engages families and community partners to build meaningful collaborations and expand resources that support students in reaching their goals.

Beyond her professional role, Dawn is the founder of Natural Vocal Sounds, where she provides vocal coaching and resources to youth, and the co-founder of the James Wilson Service Scholarship Fund, which awards book scholarships to West Philadelphia students pursuing post-secondary education.

Guided by her mission to serve her community through education, training, and resources, Dawn works to create opportunities that empower students both in school and in life. Her mantra is simple yet powerful: “Making memories and having experiences, living life to live, and celebrating is what we do well.”
